Winter is knocking! With freezing temps heading our way, here’s a quick reminder to turn off your irrigation system and avoid watering your yard before the freeze. Wet soil and freezing weather don’t mix well – it can damage your grass and create icy hazards.
Here are a few tips to winterize your property and keep everything in tip-top shape:
• Drain & Insulate: Disconnect hoses, drain your outdoor faucets, and cover them with insulation or a faucet sock.
• Protect Pipes: Wrap any exposed pipes with foam or towels to prevent them from freezing.
• Mind Your Irrigation: Shut off your system at the backflow preventer and wrap it up snugly with a towel or insulated cover.
Due to the forecasted freeze and inclement weather, we anticipate needing to reschedule appointments next week. Most services will be moved to the following week to keep everyone safe and ensure the best care for your property. We’ll confirm changes with you directly.
Thank you for your understanding, and as always, we’re here to help. If you have any questions or need assistance with winterizing, just let us know!
Stay warm,
The Dewey Lawns Team 🌱
