About Dewey Lawns
Who is Dewey Lawns?
We’re a family-first, locally owned lawn care company based in Austin. Founded by Jes Elliott, we’re a customer service company that just happens to do lawn care. A portion of every service goes to the ALS Association of Texas in honor of Jes’ dad, Charles Dewey.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Austin and surrounding neighborhoods, including Westlake Hills, Barton Creek, Northwest Hills, Tarrytown, Hyde Park, Zilker, East Austin, Rollingwood, Barton Hills, and more.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every crew member is background-checked, fully insured, and trained to deliver safe, reliable service.
Services & Pricing
What services do you offer?
We offer lawn mowing, edging, blowing, light trimming, weed control, seasonal cleanups, aeration, fertilization with organic pre-emergent, mulch renewal, and freeze protection.
What's included in basic service?
Every service includes mowing, edging, blowing, and light trimming on a cyclical basis.
How are extras charged?
If our crew identifies work beyond the basic scope—such as overgrown grass, heavy debris, or storm cleanup—it’s billed at our hourly rate of $150 plus tax, based on actual time spent. 20 minutes of extra work means you pay for 20 minutes, not the full hour.
Are your products safe for pets?
Yes. We use pet-safe weed control products. Like many Austin folks, we’re dog people—keeping your pups safe is a priority.
Do you offer commercial services?
Yes. We work with property managers, HOAs, realtors, and businesses.

Booking & Scheduling
How do I book service?

Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can access your yard, we’ll handle everything.
Can I schedule recurring service?
Yes. Choose weekly or bi-weekly service during booking. Recurring services come with automated scheduling and billing.
What if I need to reschedule?
Please let us know at least 24 hours before your service, and we’ll move you to a new date—no fees, no hassle.
What if it rains?
We’ll automatically reschedule you for the next available day and send you a notification.
Payments & Billing
How do I pay?
All payments are handled securely online after your service is complete. Recurring services are billed automatically at the end of each service day.
Do you accept cash or checks?
No. We only accept secure online payments via debit or credit card—no cash, no checks, no Venmo.
Can I see my invoices?
Yes. All invoices and service details are available in your customer portal.
